Professor Taitetsu Unno and Mrs. Alice Unno founded the Northampton Shin Buddhist Sangha in 1991 with interested students at Smith College and others. The Unnos always offered a monthly evening of lively discussion, traditional chanting and hospitality. Ty and Alice left for Oregon in 2007 but the little group they started continues to offer a similar program.
